Oh the flood of emotions that I am experiencing after watching Porter's birthing slideshow. It's hard to believe that was five weeks ago. Those 22 hours felt like forever but how easily they were forgotten the second I laid my eyes on him. Thanks to Kailee I'll be able to cherish those moments for the rest of my life. You get so wrapped up in everything that you miss everything going on around you but she was able to capture those precious moments so I didn't have to.
As I'm sitting here with my son asleep on my chest I can't help but think "how did I make something so beautiful?" I catch myself just staring at him trying to take in each sweet moment I can. Nothing compares to being a mother. I truly can't describe it but I can say I feel like the luckiest woman in the world. It's crazy how fast the days go by now and how he changes every single day.
Anyone who is debating on birthing photography, I highly recommend it, you won't regret it. I honestly thought I would be worried about how rough I was looking or how bad my hair looked. Trust me, all that goes out the window and nothing else matters but you bringing that miracle into this world. You will want to be able to look back and remember those moments. It's so intense yet beautiful. So thank you Kailee for capturing the moment my family became whole.
